Firecracker Factory Fire Claims Six Lives in India

(MENAFN) A deadly fire erupted at a firecracker manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh’s Konaseema district, killing six people and injuring several others, officials reported Wednesday.

Lokesh Nara, a state government minister, confirmed the fatalities and announced that an investigation has been launched into the incident via a post on the US social media platform X. He added that authorities “have been given instructions to make all necessary arrangements to provide better medical care to the injured.”

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the tragedy, calling it “deeply saddening.” He extended his sympathies, stating, “My thoughts are with the affected people and their families during this difficult time. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured.”
