Origami Concierge Launches Advisor-Only Platform, Redefining Access to Luxury Travel in Japan

JAPAN, August 13, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- As record visitor numbers and a historic weak yen fuel demand for Japan, a new platform gives travel advisors privileged access to more than 200 curated cultural experiences beyond the crowds.

Origami Concierge, a Japan-based luxury travel company, today announced the full-scale launch of its Advisor-Only Platform, a curated B2B channel that connects international travel advisors with privately developed cultural experiences across Japan. The launch follows a year-long pilot and opens the platform — already supported by more than 200 curated experiences — to the wider advisor community.

Even before the full launch, the platform’s approach had attracted recognition beyond the travel industry. Clairmont Private Office, a Zurich-based private office providing bespoke lifestyle management and private client services for entrepreneurs, international families and discerning private clients, has named Origami Concierge as its exclusive partner for Japan.

“For our clients, Japan represents a destination of extraordinary cultural depth — but accessing it meaningfully demands trusted local relationships that simply cannot be replicated from abroad,” said Maté Levay, founder of Clairmont Private Office. “Origami Concierge shares our commitment to discretion, excellence and genuine personal service, which made this partnership a natural step.”

The launch comes as Japan’s inbound travel market reaches new highs. The country welcomed a record 42.7 million visitors in 2025, with spending at an all-time ¥9.5 trillion. Yet nearly three-quarters of international overnight stays concentrate in just five of Japan’s 47 prefectures, leaving the rest of the country largely untouched.

Rather than another marketplace, the platform provides privileged access to experiences created through long-term relationships with artisans, temple custodians, chefs, farmers and family-run businesses who preserve Japan’s cultural heritage. At its center is the company’s national partner network — built over years of collaboration. The rarest arrangements are unlisted, reserved for advisors and available through no public website.

The full-scale launch follows a pilot begun in 2025 with luxury travel advisors across the U.S., Europe and Australia. Advisors can apply at origamiconcierge.jp/partner-with-us.
“The future of luxury travel will not be defined by who owns the largest inventory. It will be defined by who earns the trust to create meaningful access — to the people, traditions and places that cannot simply be booked online,” said Kenji Hiraoka, senior director of Origami Concierge.
Signature experiences that illustrate the platform’s depth include:

Gifu: In one of Japan’s historic centers of swordsmithing, a two-day masterclass pairs guests with a licensed swordsmith to forge a full-sized blade from tamahagane (jewel steel). The finished sword, formally registered, is later shipped to the guest’s home as an heirloom.

Yamagata: Guests retrace the route Victorian explorer Isabella Bird travelled through Japan’s rural north in 1878, walking historic mountain passes and visiting communities that remain remarkably unchanged — guided by local historians who bring her observations to life alongside their own.

Gotō Islands: “Farm to Fork — A Cosmos on the Table” begins at Yamaguchi Farm off the coast of Nagasaki. Guests meet the herd and feed calves by hand, culminating in an exclusive tasting dinner celebrating local gastronomy.
